LGBTQIA PRIDE MONTH

In honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan – considered the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States – each June Americans come together to celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Events are held all across the country to raise awareness about the current state of LGBTQIA human rights and how their respective organizations are working to protect and advocate for those rights.
