The annual Mayor’s Fishing Derby was held this morning (June 18, 2022), 9AM-12PM, at Otto Pehle Lake in Saddle River County Park. The weather was beautiful, and the kids had a great day of fishing. Thank you to Christine Genuario for planning and organizing the event. A big shout out to Matt Benus for identifying and measuring the fish. Special thanks to our good friend Thomas Van Winkle for taking photos! Thank you as well to Walmart and Dunkin Donuts for their donations. We appreciate the police department, ambulance corps, and DPW’s assistance. All participants received participation trophies. The Derby winners were 1st Pl. – CHARLES HENKEL III with 13″ Bass; 2nd Pl. – AADAM YOUSUF with 12” Bass; 3rd Pl. – LUCAS GABBANELLI with 12” Catfish. Congratulations to all!
